Hit and Slide is a game I created together with Nina for the Ludum Dare competition #31. The Theme was Entire Game on one Screen.
In 48 hours I implemented a fully working real-time physics based online multiplayer game for up to 8 players. It features a fun digging mechanic to gather snow which you use to engage in a turbulent snowfight with other players.
Rocket Science is a game I created together with Nina for the Ludum Dare competition #30. The Theme was Connected Worlds.
I created this game for the New-Years-Game-Jam 2013. You fly around as a glowing dot and can leave fortune cookies for future visitors to open in a persistent world. Players can explore the world together in real time. It also has some fireworks!
It was a great task to see if I can create a multiplayer game with self written server and client logic within one day and it worked out great.
The server is offline by now but I will resume the worlds instance from last year by the end of this year.
The game is 126,2% physics driven. If you get stuck for whatever reason, just press “G” on your keyboard to suicide and restart the level you are in. You can only control the balloon.
The game rewards you for playing to the end.
It also saves your progress locally.All but the very first door stay open once you finished the level behind it.
One last important info:
To enter activated doors, you have to enter the “sparkling” door with your balloon. Hitting it with your grasping device won’t work.
Everything in this “game” is inspired by and modeled after early processing stages of the humans eye.
This was also a nice study for me to learn about shaders, deferred lighting and modern non fixed pipeline rendering.

Brainworm Jim and the incredible Zombie Fish was a game I started to make with a friend of mine for the 7-Day Fishing Game Jam 2013.
The game was ment to be controlled by audio only. As the scope of the audio part turned out to be too challenging to be completed in time, I created “The Old man and the really bad Weather” at the last day to submit something after all.
You are the bad guy, making a run (makarun) for it. On your escape from jail you have to evade the good guys or take them down brutally. It’s a stealth-action-game in 2d that makes extensive use of dynamic lights to visualize and check lines of sight. Also makes things much prettier ;)
It’s a game about the core concept of evolution – selection. Your goal is to cultivate plants that survive longer than 5 minutes in a hazardous environment. Plants get pollinated by fireflys. Plants have a genetically coded resistance agains the environmental effects that surround them (heat, cold, rain). Try to kill all those fireflies that bring pollen that you don’t want to have in your plants genetic code. Recombine those resistances that you want selectively to survive the dynamicly changing weather.
This game was created in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare competition.
